November is the month when normally clean-shaven males put those razors away and give the Mo a go – all in the name of charity. The Velvet Principle’s Creative Director Sean is doing his bit this year. Halfway through the month he’d smashed his target raising a cool £502.
Movember is the leading men’s health charity focussing on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Did you know that on average one man dies by suicide every minute across the world; and three out of four suicides in the UK are by men? OR That prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK? With testicular cancer the most common cancer in young men?
Since its launch in 2003 in Australia, Movember has not only encouraged more conversations about men’s health but raised over £6bn for men’s health charities.
Sean’s been keeping a pictorial diary, documenting the growth of his Mo from its early sproutings and currently seems to be channelling his inner Spaghetti Western Mexican bandito. There’s still time to donate to this fabulous charity, but the big question is – come 1st December will it go or will it stay?
