The Velvet Principle was asked to design the environmental graphics for the award winning London offices at One New Change for this international law firm. The client wanted the design of the office signs and graphics to celebrate the unique architecture of the building, while remaining true to the brand guidelines.
The corporate font is used throughout – from the reception graphics through to the facility and meeting room signs. The character of the building is expressed through the materials and design of the sign forms. The reception graphics feature individual letters in faceted acrylic, providing a direct connection with the sharp angles and planes of the architecture.
A unique pattern for the modesty screening/ manifestation applied to the glass partitions provides a direct connection to the design of the external façade. The printed pattern fades from the centre to the edges creating a unique ethereal effect. Part of the brief included sourcing equipment and providing the design templates to enable the facilities team to update desk labels.
We were subsequently commissioned to design a mix of monument signs, manifestation and reception and office graphics for K&L Gates offices in Doha, Milan, Paris, Australia and the US.
