May 2025 sees The Velvet Principle’s celebrate our 15^th birthday … that’s fifteen years of delivering wayfinding consultancy projects across the UK and beyond. Setting up a new business in 2010, just as the UK was emerging from a global financial crisis was not the most auspicious time to go it alone. We’ve learnt a lot and we’d be lying if we said there haven’t been a few tricky moments along the way, but then we didn’t think it would be easy. 

Knowing what we know now would we have decided to leave the comfort of paid employment 15 years ago? … Absolutely! We’ve been very fortunate to work with some lovely clients on great projects across the UK as well as internationally. Giving us the opportunity to get to know places, we might not otherwise have had the chance to visit. Yes there have been a few long days and sleepless nights, but somehow putting in the extra hours doesn’t feel so bad when it’s your own business.

Central to everything is the trust clients have put in us to deliver their projects. It’s a responsiblity we’ve never taken lightly throughout our fifteen year journey. To all those we’ve worked with and supported us through the years – thank you. We could never and done it without you!
